This is the Harpoonicorn deep drop weight that rings like a dinner bell when bottom bouncing for Halibut, Lingcod, Sea Bass, Grouper, Tilefish, Snapper, or other bottom fish. Harpoonicorn has been tuning up this seemingly simple weight for several seasons and it out fishes our other weights every time it gets dropped down. Made from steel, these are far less toxic than traditional lead sinkers.
These are made from repurposed structural hardware with a stainless-steel split ring. Leaving the nuts on the bolts not only adds weight but provides a surface for scent application that will slowly release while fishing. These will patina (rust) after being fished but they remain effective and hold scent better.
